2027 QHF Class Instructor Application

We have moved to an ALL Online application process for instructors and their class ideas.

Our event is October 7-9, 2027 at the Sevier County Fairgrounds in Richfield, UT

     **Please fill out this form for each class you are applying to teach.

Be sure to include ALL of the information so that your entry can be considered by our selection committee.

The application deadline is March 15th, to give us time to make the selections and prepare the website.

Name of the Quilt Project or Class

Class Description - This is how people will decide whether or not to take your class. 255 characters or less.

What Specific Skills, Techniques, or Methods will you be teaching? - Some students are looking for what they will be learning. Be specific

Is there a Pattern Fee or any additional fees associated with your class beyond the $20 Registration Fee?

If Yes, indicate the dollar amount and what is being purchased, along with if it can be purchased online or from the instructor.

What is the finished size of the quilt, when completed?

What is the skill level of your class?

Our Main classrooms have a limit of 16 people. The Retreat and Villa can handle 24. If you can accept more students please indicate how many.

Registration cut-off for your class:

If you are selected to teach multiple classes, would you want them on the same day, or different days?

Photos are what initially sell your class.

Please select three photos of your project that will show details, colors, pattern, and other elements that will entice someone to sign up for your class. Usually a completely bound project leads to more interest in your project. A good photo can mean the difference between someone signing up, or passing on your class.

Cutting Instructions and Directions

(Below) Please include instructions in a PDF or Document that we can forward to each student when they register, to help them prepare for the class.

This needs to include:

- Fabric needed. (To also be included with description on the website)

- Any template or pattern fees. (To also be included with description on the website)

- Cutting instructions to be done before class.

- Any other information they should know before the event.

- Your contact information - How they should contact you if they have questions before the event. (Phone and/or email)

We pay $100 for 3 hour classes and $200 for 6 hour classes for less than 12 students. If you end up with 12 or more students we increase the pay to $125 for a 3 hour class and $250 for a 6 hour class. We do not pay for travel or accommodations.

- Application deadline is March 15th, 2027

- Applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a group of anonymous local quilters and committee members.

- Remember, these classes are to encourage quilters to gain more knowledge and to have fun doing it. Keep that in mind as you pick what project you would like to teach. Some people want simple, and some want a challenge.

- Our theme for this year will be posted on our website as soon as it is chosen. Refer to that if you would like your class highlighted as part of our theme.
